One cup, and the time facing the clear stream.
By the clear Yoshida River in Gujo Hachiman stands our small coffee stand, 'Kawabe no Coffee Sakaba'. We treasure not only the taste, but the background — who grew the beans, and how. We use only fair-trade, organic beans grown with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, roasting every bean ourselves with care.
A soft taste blends with a fresh acidity and gentle bitterness, wrapped in a bright, pleasant aroma. Listen to the murmur of the stream as you stroll along the river, with the friendly owner and seasonal menus — a luxurious moment found only in Gujo Hachiman.

Roasted in-house. Cold brew and decaf, too.
Beans grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, roasted in-house — our signature. A soft taste, fresh acidity, gentle bitterness and a bright aroma. Our smooth, low-bitterness cold brew is perfect for a summer walk; decaf is always available, so an evening cup is no worry at all.

Rich soft serve, and fluffy natural-ice shaved ice.
A summer favorite: rich soft serve. The hidden-menu affogato soft — coffee over soft serve — is a real treat. Our fluffy shaved ice is made from natural ice, with strawberry, mango and café au lait, perfect to share by the river. The sweets at our storefront pair wonderfully with a cup of coffee.

Kawabe no Coffee Sakaba is a small coffee stand by the clear Yoshida River in Gujo Hachiman, Gifu. We roast all of our beans in-house, using only fair-trade, organic beans grown with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Enjoy cold-brew coffee made with Gujo's famous spring water, or a decaf for those watching their caffeine.
We are takeout-only, with no dedicated seating. Take your cup and enjoy the scenery along the Yoshida River as you stroll the castle town. In summer, fluffy natural-ice shaved ice and rich soft serve await. For home, we deliver our house-roasted coffee beans nationwide through our online shop (mail-order).

Gujo Hachiman, where the clear Yoshida River flows, is a town of famous water. Brewed slowly with that pure water, our cold-brew coffee has a smooth, low-bitterness taste that is easy to drink.
Poured into a cute bottle for takeout, it is perfect company for a stroll through the castle town. For those watching their caffeine, decaf is always available too.
